Here at Friendship Animal Hospital we truly try to live up to our name. We focus on providing quality patient care with exceptional customer service while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. All of our current staff is some level of Fear Free certified, working on reducing the fear, anxiety, and stress of pets coming to the vet. Our staff is also Feline Friendly certified which focuses exclusively on feline stress and handling at the vet.

Associate Veterinarian

Full-Time or Part-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable veterinarian to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care, educating pet owners, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of our patients and building lasting relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to small animals.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and diseases.
  • Perform routine and complex surgeries with precision and care.
  • Conduct thorough examinations and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, and overall pet health.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure they understand their pet’s health needs and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver exceptional care and service.
  • Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and continuously improve your skills.

Qualifications:

  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Valid NC veterinary license.
  • Strong surgical and diagnostic skills or a desire to learn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for educating clients and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
  • Interest in practicing fear-free and feline-friendly medicine.

What We Offer for Full-Time:

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience starting from $100K with production-based bonuses and no negative accrual.
  • Health and dental insurance.
  • Paid time off (two weeks the first year) and holidays.
  • Continuing education allowance of $2k and time off to attend CE.
